VolCard Phase II

As we enter Phase II in our reopening of the University, VolCard will make some changes as well.  The office will be staffed from 8:00-12:00, Monday – Friday to take phone calls. Voice mails and emails will continue to be answered from 8:00-4:30, Monday – Friday.

Once safety features are installed in the office, it will be open limited hours to patrons. Check the website, http://volcard.utk.edu, for updates to hours. Because employees are still telecommuting, the buildings will remain locked.  In order to enter the building, call the office upon your arrival to Student Services at Circle Park, by the flagpole. Someone will either bring your card to you or escort you to the VolCard Office.

In-person activity is being minimized and masks are required.  Because of this, the VolCard office will not be taking pictures for the ID cards.  Patrons should upload their image if one is needed via the instructions found on the VolCard website.  Email the VolCard office requesting a card.  Once the card is produced, you will be notified. Currently, it will be delivered to UTPD – dispatch, where you can pick it up at anytime.  Once the office is open, you may pick up your card at Student Services Building during the 8:00-12:00 time frame or after 12:30 at UT Police.  Any card not picked up by noon on the day requested will be available at UT Police until picked up. UT Police is located at the corner of 11th and Cumberland Avenue, 1101 Cumberland Avenue.  Parking is located in the first level of the parking garage off of 11th Street.  It says police parking.  Just walk down the sidewalk and into the front lobby.  The lobby doors face Cumberland Avenue.

Patrons should consider the UTK VolCard Digital ID that you can install on your iPhone.  Android phones will be supported later this summer.  On the iPhone, the VolCard is stored in your Apple Wallet.  This is also explained on the VolCard website.
